Does Jesus Care?

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress,
And the way grows weary and long?

Oh, yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?

Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long?

Does Jesus care when I’ve said “goodbye”
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks—
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?


Does Jesus care? He sure does even when we feel He doesn't. His care is so subtle yet so powerful when we realise He cares.

Lord,
Please help me see that You care for me,
And are watching me through all that I have to go through.
Even when I do not comprehend or misunderstand Your care,
Be patient with me Lord, and never let me go.

I'm struggling, dear Lord, to understand all that is happening,
I'm struggling to come to terms that You've created me the way I am for a reason.
I'm struggling to stop rejecting Your care
And know that this is Your will.

Help me dear Lord,
To finally accept that You will never harm me.
I need strength to go through
And be groomed the way You want me to be.

Dear Lord,
Your will is sovereign,
Please prevail in my life,
Amen.
